Dr. Gordon Hall Family Dentistry in Brighton's annual food drive is back, in support of our local food bank. Non-perishable dinner items like soups, stews and canned meat or fish, personal hygiene items and items for children’s lunches like canned fruit and juices are all needed. Food or cash donations can be dropped-off Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Sept. 30. Donors will be entered for a draw to win an Oral B electric toothbrush.

Mondays, Artisans can exhibit their work in a citizen workshop at the Codrington Community Centre. Every Monday morning at 9am, people who do any kind of art or craft are encouraged to spend time together and help or be helped by others with their craft. There is no set charge for the events but residents are encouraged to donate $1 for the use of hall. The event is open to the public and the weekly workshops begin this morning and will run Monday mornings starting at 9 am.

Belleville's annual Take Back the Night is Sept. 14 at 6 p.m., starting in Market Square with a march through downtown. The square will also feature an exhibit of the Red Dress Project, representing the missing and murdered Indigenous 'womyn' across Canada.

8 Wing CFB Trenton hosts its annual community fair on Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PD Day at local school) at 1 Hangar, 76 Westin Avenue in Trenton. Proceeds support Canadain Governments's Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC.) Admission is free, with donations accepted for individual events. The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) will also be hosting their Kids Fun Zone featuring bouncy castles and face painting.
