PIGS - Canada's Most Authentic Pink Floyd Tribute
For listeners that love Pink Floyd, we have PIGS: Canada's Most Authentic Pink Floyd Tribute coming to town. These guys - all the way from the west coast - are currently on a 30 date Canadian tour and have been getting multiple standing ovations at all their performances. They honour Pink Floyd's music like no other tribute. They have spent 10 years meticulously getting the sound and gear right to re-create the sound of 70s Pink Floyd.

Since Pink Floyd's live show was such a huge part of their expression, to keep that alive for generations to come to witness - and to do it so flawlessly, is just an amazing thing.  These guys basically channel Pink Floyd. The voices, the mannerisms, the gear, the lights, lasers, visuals, and the sound.

They also play deep cuts and songs that people have rarely had a chance to hear live, as well as all the popular faves. And yes, they play Echoes!   They use authentic gear -- for example - our 'Gilmour' of the band, Josh Szczepanowski, uses the same pedals that David Gilmour uses, custom made by the same guy that makes them for David Gilmour.

2017 SANTA CLAUS PARADE OF LIGHTS

The City of Pembroke is happy to unveil the theme for 2017’s edition of the annual Santa Claus Parade of Lights. This winter, we will be continuing our celebrations of Canada’s 150th year with 150 Years of Christmas. On Saturday, November 25th at 5:30 p.m., the parade will transform Downtown Pembroke back in time.

The possibilities for float designs and costumes are endless, whether going old-fashioned like 1867, the retro style of the 1950s, the fun fashions of the 1990s, or any combination of ideas in between. Take a trip through time along Pembroke Street with the floats adorned in an array of dazzling lights.

Canada’s traditional colours, red and white, are coincidentally also the colours worn by Santa Claus himself. We encourage all of Pembroke to come together as a community on November 25th to enjoy the parade in all its glowing splendour.
