  Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament

The South Huron Hospital Foundation is hosting it's 13th Annual Golf Tournament.

Friday Sept. 8th at the Exeter Golf Club.

Registration is $85 and incl: Dinner, Cart and 9 holes of golf.

Lots of fun games and auction - a great way to spend a Friday afternoon with friends and colleagues.

Men's, Ladies or mixed teams welcome to this Scramble format tournament.

Shotgun start is 2pm. All proceeds to the South Huron Hospital Foundation.

   Summer Art Program Showcase

The Summer Art Program Showcase is a chance for the participants of the summer art program - Get On With It to show off their hard work!

The students have had the opportunity to work with 4 different artists, working with fibre, glass, clay and interior design. 

Come out to the Goderich Library on September 10 from 2 - 4 pm to check out their projects. Light refreshments will be provided.

  Boys Are Struggling Seminar

Coming up on September 12 at 7 PM at the London Central Library is a presentation about why boys are struggling and what to do about it.

The presentation will feature Doctor James Brown who is an experienced educator and author. 

Admission is $10 or $5 with the donation of a non-perishable donation.

On Thursdays from 6 to 7 PM at the Exeter Library, bring your handheld device for troubleshooting or to learn some basic tips to get the most from your smartphone or tablet. No appointment is needed.

  Empty Bowls

Help support the Huron County Food Distribution Centre and join us at the Exeter Christian Reformed Church on September 14!

Tickets are $10 and you get to choose a handmade pottery bowl to take home and enjoy a variety of gourmet soups!

Doors open at 5:30 for bowl selection and soup is served at 6:00. 

Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be found at Turning Point Boutique or Studio Art Custom Framing!

  Exeter Library Story Time

Children ages newborn to six are invited to the Exeter Library for stories, songs, and crafts every Friday morning from 11 to 11:30 AM.

  TALK walk/run

The TALK walk/run is being held on September 16, registration at the South Huron recreation center ag building starting at 830. 

There is a free 1.5 km kids run. 

Registration can be made on facebook or in person for the 5 km route which is at 10:00.

There is a silent auction and raffle draw and a holey board tournament at the Ag building afterwards.

All proceeds go to the Gosleigh children's trust fund.

  Story Time at Exeter Villa

Join the Exeter Library and Huron Early Years at the Exeter Villa on September 19th from 10 to 11 AM as we celebrate the love of reading and play that connects generations within our community.

This program is for ages 0 to six and there is limited space, so please register by calling 519-235-1890.

  Coffee Break and World Alzheimer''s Day

Coffee Break Kick off Day and World Alzheimer's Day combine for an amazing day of fundraising and awareness!

Proceeds from McCafe beverages sold on Thursday, September 21 at McDonald's Goderich and Exeter will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County.  

Volunteers will be helping to serve coffee and take donations in the restaurant and in the drive-thru.  

The event runs all day, so come and make your coffee count!

Looking for Moms/Dads/Grandparents to participate in our Fall Mom2Mom Sale.

Saturday September 23rd at the South Huron Rec Centre in Exeter.

  Fidget Makers

Fidget Makers is taking place on September 27th from 10 AM to Noon at Exeter Library. 

It is a social group that makes activity aprons for those in our community who are suffering from dementia.

No sewing experience is necessary.
