School on Wheels Railcar Museum is hosting it's annual "Thomas the Tank Engine" Day - September 12, 2015 - from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Hosted by Exeter Villa, the Swinging Fore Memories golf tournament takes place Friday Sept. 18th at the Exeter Golf Club. Tee off time is 4pm and all proceeds will support the Alzheimer Society Huron County. The cost is $240 for a foursome and $60 for an individual, which includes nine holes of golf, cart, and a buffet dinner. Registration deadline is Sept. 11th. On September 19, Autumn Indulgence will take you back to Grand Bend's earlier days in a special tribute to the Lakeview Casino. The annual gala fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Grand Bend, and will take place on Saturday, September 19 at the Huron Country Playhouse. The evening offers a prime rib and seafood dinner, live music and dancing. It starts at 5pm and tickets are $100 and can be purchased at www.autumnindulgence.com.

  Learn to Quilt: Level One Class for Beginners
Ever wanted to learn how to quilt? Sandra Thomas will be teaching this Beginner quilting class at Kalidoscope of Quilts. This is a comprehensive course that takes you through cutting, piecing, adding borders and binding of your project. This is the 35th Anniversary of the Terry Fox Run. All are welcome to join the event by running, walking, biking, or pushing strollers. It is on Sunday Sept. 20 with open start of 10:00 to 2:00pm.
