11:30 am~1:30 pm at the South Huron Rec Centre.
 
Tickets cost $15 for adults, kids cost $5 and a takeout meal costs $16.

The South Huron Community Choir and Handbells is celebrating "O Canada 150 years" with guest Katherine Napiwotzki. The event takes place Saturday May 6, 2017, 7pm at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church, 264 Main Street, Exeter ON. Tickets cost $15 or $20 at the door. Call 235-2565

A Fashion Show in support of Jessica's House takes place on Thursday May 11th beginning at 7:30 at the Exeter Golf Course.

There will be a cash bar before and after the event along with door prizes.

Cost is $15 with all proceeds going towards Jessica's House.

  Trout Fishing Derby Rescheduled

Due to poor weather the 33rd Annual Trout Fishing Derby at Morrison Dam Conservation Area has been rescheduled from May 6 to Saturday, May 13.,

The derby begins at 8 am. and runs until noon.

Registration is $2 for 16 & under or $4 for 17 years and older.

Hosted by Exeter Lions Club and Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation.

  Mother of All Craft Shows

The 3rd annual Mother of All Craft Shows takes place this weekend.

The show takes place on Saturday, May 13th from 9 AM until 4 PM at the Lucan Community Centre located at 263 Main Street.

Organizer of the Mother of All Craft Shows in Lucan, Sheena Clark says a show like this is extremely important for the local community, as she believes more and more people want to buy homemade products.

The cost of admission is $2, and every vendor donates door prizes and names are called throughout the day for prizes.

Egmondville United Church is hosting their annual home made pies and bake sale. 

For the person with a green thumb or not so green thumb there will be perennial plants, indoor flowers and vegetable seedlings.

The event runs from 8:00 to 10:30 Saturday May 13th at Egmondville United Church located at 26 Kippen Rd. Egmondville.

  Walk for Alzheimer''s - Huron County

Come together as we take our next steps forward to tackle dementia!


The Alzheimer Society of Huron County's annual Walk for Alzheimer's, locally presented by Investors Group, will be taking place on Saturday, May 13, 2017.


Outdoor Walks will be held in Clinton, Exeter and Wingham, with registration beginning at 9am, with the walk to start at 10am.


Individual and team walkers welcome, and pledge sheets and more information is available at 519-482-1482 or admin@alzheimerhuron.on.ca.


Online registration and fundraising is available at www.walkforalzheimers.ca, select Ontario and then either Clinton, Exeter or Wingham.

Proceeds from the Walk for Alzheimer's will help enhance local programs and services for people with the disease, care partners, family members and citizens of Huron County.

  Mother''s Day IPM 2017 Style

The 2017 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM 2017) Committee invites you to a fun-filled evening in Exeter for you and your Mom on Mother's Day, Sunday May 14th. 

You and your Mom will be able to enjoy some of the musical entertainment set to hit the stages at IPM 2017 as well as learn more about what we've got cookin' for IPM 2017, September 19-23, 2017 in Walton. 

Hosted in Exeter at the South Huron Recreational Centre, 93 Victoria St., doors open at 4:30pm with a ¼ Chicken dinner prepared by Pineridge BBQ to be served at 5pm. 

The Variety Concert will start at 6pm. 

Tickets for this event are $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 6 - 12, 5 and under is free

The Parkhill Fire Firefighters are hosting their annual Firefighter's Breakfast on Saturday May 20th at the Parkhill Community Centre.

Don't worry, the big red trucks are coming too!

And admission is $10 for Adults, $5 for kids and preschool and under are always free.

The Clinton United Church presents their well organized indoor/outdoor yard sale with "UNEXPECTED FINDS" from 1:00- 6:00 on Friday May 26th and on Sat May 27 at 8:00 A.M.-noon when our Outreach Committee will tempt you with coffee and homemade muffins in support of our refugee family.
