  YES Shelter for Youth and Families presents: 'A Way Home Peterborough' Launch

A new program aimed at reducing youth homelessness will host a launch event with guests speaker. 

The event will take place from 7 - 9 PM at the Market Hall at 140 Charlotte Street

The cost is free and will include speakers such as Melanie Redman, Executive Director of A Way Home, and Dr. Stephen Gaetz who is Canada's most renowned researcher on youth homelessness

  Selwyn Public Library presents Paint Nite

A local artist will assist and inspire all, while attendees socialize and drink cocktails in support of a great cause. 

Paint Nite takes place from 7 - 9 PM at Bridgenorth Public Library with a portion of all tickets sales going to Selwyn Public Library.

  KPP Foundation Charity Golf Tournament

A fun filled day on the course in support of KPP Foundation will take place from 1-8 PM at the Quarry Golf Club. 

There will be a dinner, prizes and a silent auction following a day of golf.

The cost is $100/golfer and includes dinner and prizes.

  Market Palooza Opening Day

Back for its 7th season, The Lakefield Farmers Market will host a small celebration that includes numerous activities for the family. 

The celebration kicks-off from 9 AM - 2 PM at the Lakefield-Smith Community Centre and Arena on Concession St. 

There will be food and drinks along with handmade products from local vendors.

The Market continues on Thursday mornings until October.

  NCC Annual General Meeting

An annual general meeting will take place at the New Canadians Centre at 221 Romaine Street in Peterborough.

The meeting will include financial and year end reports, board elections, along with awards for volunteers and partners. 
The event runs from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

  Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

YWCA Peterborough Haliburton are focusing on providing women and children that are escaping violence a path to safety and the chance for a fresh start with a charity walk. 

The walk will take place at 12:00 p.m. starting at Confederation Park on George St N in Peterborough.
